THE RECLAIMER: Facebook Group, Bubble Pop, and Upcoming Leadership Forum
WE NOW HAVE A FACEBOOK GROUP!
Hello, my friends! As mentioned last week, we now have a Facebook group! We launched it earlier this week. We’d love to foster the same level of community over there that we’ve managed to achieve on our Discord server! We need to ensure that we can get organised from coast-to-coast-to-coast to rebuild the riding associations that make up this party. The best way we can do that is by establishing a nationwide community of grassroots groups, and platforms like Discord or Facebook are a means to make that happen.
Let’s start with good conversations about how we can rebuild and move forward: https://www.facebook.com/share/g/1BAaY8tYFV/
CHECK OUT RECLAIM & RENEWAL ON RACHEL GILMORE’S BUBBLE POP
Earlier today, Reclaim’s Ji Won Jung and the NDP Renewal Project’s Former MP for New Westminster–Burnaby, Peter Julian, hopped onto Rachel Gilmore’s “Bubble Pop” podcast. You can listen on Spotify, Apple Music or see the video podcast on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3U20b9iIHuw
WE WANT TO HEAR YOUR INPUT FOR OUR UPCOMING QUESTIONNAIRES!
We will be sending out questionnaires to candidates throughout the course of the 2026 NDP Leadership Race. These questionnaires will mainly consist of questions related to internal party reform, such as EDA rebuilding and re-democratisation. However, we recognise the opportunity we have to give the public a platform to ask important questions. If there's a demand for it, Reclaim will send out various questionnaires on various topics.
To provide feedback on what we should include in these questionnaires, check out the linked form: https://forms.gle/upYdutFHnVMBteVYA
APPLY TO BE A REGIONAL ORGANIZER!
We’re still looking to set up regional organizing teams across the country! Our regional organizers are focused on strengthening and building up riding associations in their region. Experience isn’t required, but it’s good to know if you’ve done something similar before. While we are looking for regional organisers across the country, we’re especially looking for organisers from Quebec.

LEADERSHIP UPDATES
Coming up next Wednesday, October 22nd, will be the first leadership forum. , which will be taking place in Ottawa and hosted by the Canadian Labour Congress (CLC). It will provide an open forum for members to ask questions to leadership candidates and will resemble more of a fireside chat than a typical debate.
It’ll be taking place from 6:00 PM EST to 7:00 PM EST at The Westin Ottawa (11 Colonel By Drive, Ottawa, ON), and will be open to the public both in-person and over Zoom.
For more information, check out the CLC’s website: https://canadianlabour.ca/workers-first-the-clc-hosts-a-forum-with-ndp-leadership-candidates/
